The 2011 Conference Sessions Rocked! The feedback on the show this year had been incredible and we thank everyone who attended and look forward to seeing you again at next years show!

Keynote Presentations:
 
Dr. Peter Cressy, President /CEO of the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. provided insightful information into the current economic data and that by being proactive in addressing taxes, interlock and other challenges that are affecting the spirits industry, bars and nightclubs will begin to see benefits. 
 
Promotions change, said Patrick Henry, President & CEO of Patrick Henry Creative Promotions Inc. in his keynote session, however the effects of good promotions remain the same and ultimately drive business and sales. Henry mentioned that the days of total sensory overload no longer exist and making difficult decisions within your marketing strategy can lead to the best outcomes and by “doing the right things and continuing to have fun, you’ll be successful”.
Nationally syndicated radio show host Tom Leykis addressed the crown by telling everyone to “Think bigger, be bigger.” He described how in order to get ahead you need to strive for great things and manage public perception. In order to be the best you have to provide entertainment and, above all else, be a good showman, he explained. 

 

Workshops:
 
In Taffer’s Bar Dynamics: Jon’s Best Tactics to Empty Your Competition, Jon Taffer, President, Nightclub & Bar Media Group discussed how to change your mindset and by creating positive reactions that your guests feel during and retain after visiting your facility are key to a successful establishment.
 
Bob Brown’s, President, Bob Brown Service Solutions, workshop provided results-oriented and inspiring ideas that are easy to implement. Browns high-energy interactive session discussed focusing on the positive to build repeat business in order to add dollars to the bottom line and building a hospitality A-team that dazzles.  
 
In Maria Miranda’s Facebook 201 – Nightclub & Bar Edition she described in detail how to make the most out of the leading social network that boasts more than 500 million users. Miranda presented tactics to recruit fans, develop appropriate ads and how to effectively monitor your interactions to get the most out of you facebook page.  
 
Successful Beverage Management – Proven Strategies for the On-Premise Operator – was presented by veteran beverage consultants Robert Plotkin and Jack Robertiello. They discussed multiple aspects of protecting your cash flow, loss prevention, analyzing bartender productivity and getting the most bang for your dollar through improving your beverage lineup.
